This overview page lists all mandatory training courses and instruction sessions for employees of the University of Lübeck that are available through the Weiterbildungsportal. Some courses are offered as self-paced online training, allowing you to work through the course materials independently at any time. Other courses are held as scheduled in-person or live online sessions. It is your responsibility to attend a session at a suitable date and time.

Self-Paced Fire Safety Training

This mandatory self-paced online Fire Safety course replaces the previous live training sessions conducted by the Fire Safety Officer.
Please complete the course once per calendar year and answer the questions at the end. (New employees must complete the course when they start work.)
Please send your certificate of completion to your supervisor as confirmation of your participation.
Please look out for the dates of the mandatory practical fire extinguisher training sessions (to be announced soon in focus:INSIDE).

There you will find, among other things:

contact information for the University's Fire Safety Officer,
general information about fire safety training,
important fire safety documents, and
all information about the practical fire extinguisher training sessions.

The self-paced Data Protection course for 2026 is currently being prepared and is expected to be available this year.

The self-paced Data Protection course is only available to members of the University of Lübeck. Please make sure you are logged in to the Weiterbildungsportal using your IDM credentials.
