Anmeldung: Project Management - Introduction for Doctoral Researchers [ENG]

This course introduces doctoral researchers to the fundamentals of project management in the context of academic research. Core topics include defining project objectives and scope, structuring research projects into phases and milestones, identifying deliverables and dependencies, and managing time and resources at a basic level.

The course also addresses typical challenges in research projects such as changing requirements, delays, and coordination with supervisors and collaborators. Participants are introduced to planning and monitoring tools, including roadmaps, milestone plans, and visual task boards. In addition, the course covers basic risk awareness and expectation management. Through practical examples and exercises, participants learn how to adapt project plans iteratively and how to communicate project progress clearly and professionally in an academic environment.
