Artificial intelligence confronts us – as individuals and society – with fundamental challenges: While almost all structures are under pressure to adapt, opportunities and risks are arising as asymmetrically distributed as never before. The accumulation of power in the hands of AI providers is contrasted by new precarities and risks of exclusion for entire population groups.
How do we want to handle these dynamics as individuals and as societies? Which norms do we want to preserve in the digital age, which one should we modify and what would we be willing to give up or limit in favor of the new? Within the seminar course, we want to explore these questions together, discuss our values and ideological positions and develop strategies for dealing with one of the central challenges of our time.
