Anmeldung: Intellectual Property in Life Sciences & Medicine [ENG]

As a scientist, medical doctor, engineer or computer scientist you will be trained for generating innovations. Regardless whether in academia or in an industrial setting, you are well advised to make sure that YOU are rewarded for years of hard work in the lab, not someone else!

As part of this course, we will discuss the aims of R&D in academia and industry and differences. We will evaluate in which cases it is important to protect results, followed by a discussion of appropriate strategies, based on real life examples, for example inventions for combatting SARS-CoV-2.

The translation of academic results into real life treatments and products for the benefit of patients will also be discussed.
